September is a transition month in our home, when we start to move our focus away from the garden and food preservation to more inside the house.
This is how seasonal living works for us. Spring to Summer is heavy gardening, August – September is food preservation, and then we transition to a more kitchen/household focus.
One of the important aspects of simple living for us is eliminating the need to purchase chemical cleaners from the store.
I have not bought a commercial all-purpose spray in several years not, I only make my own. I also make my own window cleaners, hand soap, lotions, toilet and shower cleaners, among other things.
To help you get started with making your own cleaners and personal products, check out the newest episode of the Simple Living Made Simple Podcast where I talk about the 10 ingredients you must have in your natural home.
